I know I'm not keeping up with my blog very well - it's been a long summer so far. I've been very busy knitting in my spare time, what little there is of it. I've put some of my spun yarn in a shop in Virginia, I'm working on the SFS Christmas project, and still going on the gansey sweater and Civil War Shawl.

We had the puppies' 12th birthday party on Saturday. We sent a note with each invitation asking that instead of gifts for the puppies, please bring a donation to Meals on Wheels pet program. Tim just took the donations to MOW, and they said it was a month's worth of food for their recipients with pets. I'm grinning from ear to ear! I feel so good that a simple party for Buddy and Jackie reaped such results!

Well, back to my knitting. I'm on vacation this week, and my only plans are to have a root canal finished on Wednesday, and play with my fiber the rest of the time.
