Working on washcloths for Socks for Soldiers. Will be doing this through Sept. Do you have any idea how many washcloths patterns are on the web? Not to mention the grand fun you can have with your stitch dictionary, trying new patterns and seeing which ones you like.

Has been a long, very hot summer. I'm so looking forward to fall. I bought a fall scented candle, found a great deal on material to make new curtains, and am ready for this heat to go away.

Laura A. has a new blog for charity knitting. I'll be posting the link soon.

love your blog, Rachel!
I am just joining knitlist-ads and wondered if you still have your grab-bag of books for sale? It's been a long time, I know, but I'm mostly interested in vintage (pre-1960s) knitting books--

Hi Stacie,
The grab bag sold quite some time ago. I may have more in the not-to-distant future. I have inherited quite a few vintage books/magazines from my aunt, but haven't had time to look at them.
